    Notes
    • The Louisiana death records indicate the death of Eugenie Artigues and Eugenie Dureau on Dec 29, 1915 at age 57. Because of this double entry, that is strong evidence that they are the same Eugénie Dureau who married Ferréol Artigues. However, there is no record of her being buried in the Artigues tomb in St. Louis Cemetery #3, which would be odd, especially since Ferréol had died just the year earlier.

She died just a week after the birth of her grandson A. L. Vitter Jr.
