      Hi Jan,

Thanks for your questions; My Father, Herbert Earl Anderson was born March 4th 1927 in Dorchester Mass (Boston area) and died on January 1st 2009. He married Marjorie Ruth Swan who was born May 26, 1930 in Dorchester Mass and died February 14th 2005. Interesting that they were both only children so our family tree was pretty sparse. They had two children David M. Anderson born December 9th 1954 and my brother Stephen P. Anderson born August 17th 1951, Both of us born in Huntington New York.

Unfortunately I do not speak Swedish and have not had the opportunity to get to Sweden yet, a bucket list item for sure.

Thank you for looking at the Swedish documents, I was having trouble attaching them to the emails and ultimately put them in a "Drop Box" which should have come as a separate email containing a file that had 29 documents in it. If you did not receive all the documents please let me know and I will forward them.

      Take Care,
      David

      Hi David,
The documents you sent me are of trree types: lönebesked/pay slips ,försäkringsbesked/ insurance policies and arbetsbetyg/work certificates. They will be translated and summarized in my investigation. Do you speak Swedish?
And I have started working on your Swedish roots. The sources material sets the boundaries but I start in 1734 and go to your grandfather. If you want your father and yourself to be included in the link, please send me information on birth date and place of birth.
You have your roots in the southernmost part of Sweden. Have you ever been in Sweden?

      Ha det bra

      Hi Jan,
Thank you for the section of the Johnson report, very impressive. I also received a very positive reference from Mr. Johnson. So I would like to officially engage you to prepare a report on our Swedish heritage. Please let me know if there is any additional information i can contribute and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. I did want to confirm that you received and were able to open the "Drop Box" fiies (@29 documents) that contained the Swedish documents.

We look forward to continuing to work with you,
      David

And now I will examine the way to proceed with your family. Then you will receive a price statement (between 300-400 USD) and I will send you the entire research of the Anderson family and a bankaccount you can use to pay the money.

      Jan,

To answer your questions; Lars and Hanna emigrated to the US, their son Nils Knut Anderson is my Grandfather. My Great Grandfather Peter L. Fohlin emigrated to the US, Married Minnie A. Lindquist, and had Winnifred Fohlin, my Grandmother.

I have attached a file of scanned documents that are in Swedish for your review. Ive had to split the documents into several emails due to volume. Both my brother and I are looking forward to this process. Is it possible that you might have a sample report that you could send? once we have a firm price how is payment handled?

      Regards,
      David

      Hello David,
Thanks for your email and the facts you sent me. I followed Lars Andersson and I was able to follow his roots without difficulty until 1799 and Truls Hanson with wife Sissa Jönsdotter. They lived outside the small town Trelleborg in Skåne.

Now I have some questions before I can estimate what a survey will cost you :
Lars Andersson is in my databases to 1900-1910. Was he the one who moved to the United States?
Lars had two sons ,Nils Knut born 1899 and Karl Anton born 1902. Are any of them your grandfather?
The Swedish documentss . Can you copy them so I can translate them ?

It will be exciting to find your Swedish roots. As for the Fohlin (Gotlandslinjen) I will come back later.
      Have a good time

      Jan,

Thank you for your quick response and subsequent follow up. I apologize for the delay.

The information I have is: My great grandparents on my fathers side are Lars Anderson (1869-1943) who was married to Hanna Ahlqvist (1866-1924) both from Trelleborg and Peter L. Fohlin (1861-1937) married to Minnie A. Fohlin, do not know her maiden name at this point, (1862-1945) both from Visby.

According to my father the Fohlin's met and married once they had immigrated to Erie Pennsylvania.

I have information on them once they were all in the US but do not have any backround or history from Sweden. I do have some documents that are in Swedish so I don't know what they represent.

Please let me know your thoughts on a successful search and the potential cost.

      Regards,
      David Anderson
