    3. [S1251] Find A Grave, George W. Tucker.
      George W. Tucker was born in Carthage, Jasper County Missouri on 09 Jun 1861, to John Tucker and Jane "Jennie" (Cronk) Tucker. The family moved to Vernon County Missouri where his sister Mary was born in 1864. The family was very poor John working a farm hand on the farms in Vernon County. The area during the days of the war between the states was a very strong pro confederate, and family rumor has it that George was bounced on Bill Andersons knee when he was a baby and that John rode with the southern partisans on occasion. George moved northward and to the west marrying Nancy Jane Morgan and having two children Edna M. Tucker and Calvin George Tucker who died within 2 months of birth. Nancy passed away in October of the same year and George remarried three years later to Tennie S. (Taylor) Tucker. They had one known child Corinne Perl (Tucker) Torbit. The family moved west to Colorado where George passed away on February 7, 1941.
